This is one of my favourite lines I have read from Seneca so far. What is the purpose of working so hard to acquire something which require just as much work to maintain? What is the purpose in a multimillion pound mansion if it is to require hundreds of thousands to run it? What are you keeping yourself in the hamster wheel?
