I have held the belief for a while that the you and your partner should be moving towards the same goals, or as I put in a previous post:
You should naturally be aiming at the same target before you even speak or meet. Then a relationship can be formed with confidence as you are heading in the same direction
We can get carried away by the unhelpful, but very alluring, notion of romantic love. This is not to say you cannot have the romance on top of the shared drives, but the bedrock of a relationship should be of a mutual aspiration, where your partner inspires you to become the best version of yourself. Make sure you are looking in the same direction, and not just into each other’s eyes.
